    ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

    Girls Who Invest (GWI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the investment management industry by attracting and advancing women investors, change-makers, and leaders. GWI does this through tuition-free education programs for first and second-year college students. Once scholars complete their program, GWI provides career advisory services, community building, and connections for alumni at all stages in their careers, with a focus on long-term professional development, retention, and advancement. We believe, and studies show, that advancing diverse investors brings unique and previously excluded perspectives to the industry and leads to higher performance. To date, GWI has reached more than 2,500 young people in just eight years. To learn more, visit

    This year, we expect to welcome upwards of 600 new alumni to our community as they graduated from our early careers pipeline programs (Summer Intensive Program and Online Intensive Program).

    ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

    The Community Engagement Analyst will be a passionate self-starter and play a pivotal role in supporting the Girls Who Invest alumni and broader community through various engagement initiatives and programs. This role will assist the Alumni Relations Manager with executing key programs such as Affinity Groups, Alumni Council, investment partner events, and alumni volunteer management. The position may also provide cross-cutting community support across the Programs and Career Advancement teams where appropriate. The Community Engagement Analyst serves as a combination of project manager and implementer, data analyst, and event support. They will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders such as scholars, alumni, and investment management partners as through the work of the Girls Who Invest Career Advancement team, scholars and alumni have access to ongoing professional development keeping them engaged and retained in the Investment Management industry.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Programming and Events Support

    • Support the Career Advancement team in developing a Community Engagement annual plan.
    • Support the execution of strategies to engage alumni and enhance their connection to the organization by assisting in the management of Alumni Affinity groups and the Alumni Council, including coordinating application and interview processes, and facilitating meetings.
    • Create tracking mechanisms to support the Director of Programs and Alumni Relations Manager in rolling out GWI's Affinity Groups.
    • Liaise with the Partnerships team to coordinate partner-driven alumni events.
    • Plan and coordinate numerous regional in-person and virtual alumni events with attendees ranging from 5-200 attendees, providing event support and handling communications, attendance tracking, and preparing briefers for various audiences.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni inquiries, communications, and 1:1 conversations providing timely and personalized responses.
    • Manage alumni volunteers, source panels and focus groups, and represent GWI at recruiting, programs, and industry events.
    • Support the full breadth of alumni and scholar Career Advancement programming and engagements as appropriate including the Campus Ambassador program, mentorship, and more.

    Data Analysis and Management

    • Manage the alumni database and maintain accurate records of alumni contact information and engagement activities.
    • Collect, track, organize and analyze alumni engagement data, monitoring metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs, provide insights, trends on engagement and the industry, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with the Career Advancement Analyst and Alumni Relations Manager on various projects, including data analysis, storytelling, and marketing initiatives.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

    Professional Experience

    • Bachelor's degree from accredited 4-year institution preferred.
    • Minimum one to three years prior experience; Financial services experience preferred; Alumni Relations experience and marketing experience a plus.
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and experience translating complex ideas into clear, easy-to-understand concepts.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects at once as they evolve and change across teams with competing deadlines.
    • Comfort working with large sets of data including data collection, analysis and reporting.
    • Significant experience with Google Suite, Excel (including analysis, organizing, and formatting), and PowerPoint.
    • Familiarity working with project management systems, Salesforce or another CRM, and email marketing systems a plus.

    COMPENSATION

    Current annual compensation range expected: $70,000 - $80,000. The starting pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certification. GWI offers a strong and competitive benefits package.
