    Seattle Children's is hiring for a Clinical Psychologist - Pediatric Feeding Program for the Autism Center This is a 1.0 FTE M-F Day position.


    Provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and families with serious developmental, emotional, and behavioral problems in a manner which results in improvements in the child and family's functioning in multiple life domains and is cost effective.

    Job Posting Addendum

    To provide oversight to the clinical functioning of the Pediatric Feeding Program (PFP). Develop and coordinate clinical orientation, continued competency, clinical standard work, and optimal professional development for the clinical team.

    Collaborate with service line director in the hiring process for the Pediatric Feeding Program's interdisciplinary team, including Psychologists (PhDs), Mental Health Therapists (MHTs), BCBA/BCaBAs, oral-motor therapists, Dieticians and Medical personnel (e.g., ARNP) directly involved within this program, and to communicate and coordinate the advancement of organizational and department/division goals.

    Represent the Pediatric Feeding Program to the leadership team in the provision of overall direction for the practice of the interdisciplinary team within it.

    Drive continuous performance improvement, quality improvement, and education and research efforts delivered by the Pediatric Feeding Program team.
    Provide supervision to practicum students, psychology and psychiatry residents, and program staff. Will also provide consultation to SCAC, other departments (e.g. GI), hospital inpatient units, and BioBehavior Program-Inpatient Psychiatric Unit staff on mileu program development and individual case planning, as it relates to patients within or referred to the PFP.


    Clinical role:
    Provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical management of patients referred to the Pediatric Feeding Program.

    Requirements

    Required Education/Experience:

    • PhD, PsyD, or Ed.
    D. in psychology, with specialization in child clinical psychology from an APA-accredited training program- Completion of an APA-approved internship- Formal post-doctoral training in an appropriate area of specialization- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience post licensure

    Required Credentials:

    • Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington
    • Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment. All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.
    • Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's. Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies. Questions regarding medical or allied health professional staff privileges may be directed to Medical Staff Services.

    Preferred:

    • Postdoctoral level experience in pediatric psychology
    • Experience in a pediatric medical setting
    • Clinical supervision experience
    • Minority Mental Health Specialist designation.
    • Experience with multisystem involved children with severe behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities.
    • Experience with the King County MHP and Washington State Mental Health WACs.
    • Experience providing comprehensive intake evaluations with multiaxial diagnoses.
    • Experience with evidence based practice.Experience in an inpatient/day treatment setting providing comprehensive assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disordersNationally Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral Level
    Min to Max Annual Salary

    $121, $178,783.00 /yr

    Salary Information

    This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
