    Snelling Staffing of Canton, OH is hiring for a HR Generalist for a company in Orrville, OH

    Overview:
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about HR and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

    • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of Human Resources department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed. Evaluate and recommend improvements to HR processes and procedures continually to meet the needs of the HR Department.
    • Partner with employees and management to provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, standards and documentation, as well as state and federal regulations. Serve as an unbiased resource in the corrective action process by coaching, counseling and guiding Team Leaders.
    • Conduct and coordinate recruitment effort and onboarding process. Screen applicants and conduct interviews. Arrange for all necessary pre-employment screening items. Conduct new employee orientations, review, complete and process new hire paperwork. Participate in career path planning.
    • Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees. Provide customer service to employees regarding benefits and payroll questions. Manage annual Open Enrollment process.
    • Able to maintain all personnel matters. Maintain medical, insurance, and other personnel records. Maintains HRIS system employee data, information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason. Maintain employee files, ensuring compliance with licensing agency and HIPAA standards
    • Monthly reports: headcount, turnover, employee lists, etc.
    • Oversee employee leaves of absence and time off, including FMLA administration and compliance.
    • Oversee internal job bid process.
    • Maintain employee timecard information and issue appropriate access to timekeeping system. Perform bi-weekly payroll process in conjunction with HR Services Team/Accounting department.
    • Maintain and monitor all workers' compensation records.
    • Manage employee communication programs such as bulletin board postings, newsletters, and special publications.
    • Coordinate the planning and administration of employee social events and special projects.
    • Respond to unemployment claims and represent the company at any necessary unemployment compensation hearings.
    • Monitor the performance evaluation program and suggest revisions as necessary
    • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
    • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Responsible for Legal Compliance and following company policies and procedures.

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
    • Associate's degree (A. A.) preferred
    • Two to Five years Human Resources experience in Manufacturing facility.
    • Knowledge of Database software: HRIS systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Microsoft Office; Ability to quickly learn new programs as needed.
    • Must work well as part of a team
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • HR Certification preferred
