- Partners with senior managers to develop staffing strategies for current and future needs, including creating pipelines for future business requirements.
- Sources candidates and maintains an active candidate pipeline.
- Devises sourcing strategies to attract top talent, recruiting both active and passive candidates.
- Utilizes the ATS to manage end-to-end recruiting efforts efficiently, including accurate and complete information about candidates.
- Ensures that jobs are posted and maintained on all applicable job boards.
- Screens applicants by carefully reviewing applications, ensuring that the candidates meet the job posting requirements.
- Conducts interviews, evaluates qualifications, and assesses candidates' suitability for specific roles.
- Schedules initial and ongoing interviews, keeping tabs on candidates throughout the interview process.
- Works closely with top candidates to ensure that they are onboard and that, if we were to extend an offer that they are ready to accept.
- Oversees onboarding and compliance to include bringing on new employees with processes such as paperwork, orientation and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Maintains compliance with federal regulations.
- Schedules and conducts new employee orientation activities, including meeting arrangements, compilation of new hire paperwork, and overview of timekeeping and payroll systems.
- If applicable, gets new hire set up with computer, necessary computer programs phone, business cards, credit card, uniforms, etc.
- Ensures that new employee information is all entered into HCM system and that it is maintained accordingly.
- Verify I-9 documentation and maintain files.
- Creates and maintains personnel files using an electronic filing system.
- Administers payroll, ensuring that employees are paid for their hours correctly and on time on a bi-weekly basis.
- Conducts benefits enrollment for eligible employees.
- Assists with benefit administration including health, dental, vision, voluntary life, disability, Cobra and the 401k retirement plan.
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, including health, vision and dental, 401k, PTO, vacation, FMLA and general employee personnel issues.
- Focuses on culture and employee retention through such things as scheduling events, completing new hire check ins, conducting stay interviews, ensuring birthdays and anniversaries are recognized, and conducting employee surveys.
- Administers the performance review process.
- Ensures that there are job descriptions for all positions.
- Assists in employee discipline and coaching, ensuring that the proper documentation is in place.
- Assists with maintaining the company handbook and ensures that employees have received and signed an acknowledgment.
- Assists with planning company events.
- Handles unemployment claim responses.
- Administers the FMLA program.
- Administers the training program including ensuring that all safety and training certifications are kept current.
- Handles workers compensation claims, keeps work-related injury files, and ensures that OSHA logs are kept up to date.
- Ensures that all federal and state postings are current.
- Administers the offboarding process including conducting exit interviews, creating termination letters, ensuring computer and security system access removal, collects company property, cancels benefits, and submits information to Cobra vendor.
- Visits properties, ensuring a relationship with the employees, supervisors and managers and assists with any HR related needs.
- Manage the cell phone vendor and ensure that all employees who need cell phones get them in a timely manner.
- Organize and coordinate vendors for maintenance.
- Assist with the credit card reconciliation process.
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws, regulations and requirements related to HR including ERISA, EEO, LOA, ADA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, COBRA, and Wage & Hour
- Intermediate level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to communicate and work effectively with management and co-workers.
- The ability to understand and interpret company policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service skills.

- BA/BS Required in Human Resources or related field.
- PHR/SPHR Certification a plus
- Paycom experience is preferred.
- 5-7 years of Human resources experience.
- Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Local travel throughout the Cleveland/Akron area at least bi-weekly.
- Travel out of state less than 10% of the time including travel to Signet Management properties outside of Cleveland every 3-6 months.
