The Benefits Manager will apply their knowledge and experience in associate benefits administration to help Lansing reach its goal of being a best-in-class place to work and build a career.
The Benefits Manager is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day administration of Lansing's associate benefits programs, wellness programs, medical leave process, and other people-related matters that come up in the ordinary course of business.
The Benefits Manager, and their team, will strive to give our associates the best possible service and associate experience.Essential Functions:
Serve as a Health amp; Welfare subject matter expert for the overall Lansing organization.
Manage administration of LBP's benefits. Oversee regular funding and invoice processes.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships for long term benefit strategies and administration as well as ongoing assessments and plan administration.
Assist with current programs and implementation of new programs.Manage LBP's wellness program from strategy to program execution to assessment.
Manage the FMLA, STD, and medical leave process.
Provide education and support to help associates maximize the use and minimize the cost of their selected benefits.
Supervise associates within the benefit's team.
Partner with LBP's communications team for benefit communications through multiple delivery channels. Collaborate with other HR team members to implement benefit configuration changes, rate updates, system upgrades, etc. in relevant systems. Coordinate changes with Payroll.
Work together with HR and Payroll to coordinate benefits for exiting associates including documentation preparation and COBRA benefits.
Analyze existing benefit and leave policies of LBP and prevailing practices among similar organizations, to establish competitive programs.
Provide documentation related to benefit plan audits, as required.
Other duties as necessary.
