    Job Description

    ***Only qualified Database Administrator candidates located in the Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham Alabama or Dallas, TX areas will be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***

    Degrees/Certifications/Years of Overall Experience Required:

    HS Diploma w/Oracle cert is ok

    Bachelor's preferred (software engineering, computer science, and/or related field)

    5+ years of related work experience

    Required skills:

    Exadata Administrator

    Minimum 5 years of full stack Exadata support

    Strong analytical and communication skills

    Full stack patching of the Exadata appliance

    Extensive experience troubleshooting performance issues

    Understanding of the process for replacing failed components of the appliance

    At least 5 years of Oracle DBA experience

    Strong scripting skills

    Experience supporting Oracle Recovery Appliances

    Knowledge of golden gate is a plus

    Availability to work nights and weekends

    Preferred skills:

    Knowledge of Golden Gate

    What will separate an average candidate vs a great candidate on a resume?

    Previous financial institution experience is a plus

    Database Administrator Responsibilities:

    Address Exadata hardware failures

    Apply Exadata patches

    Participate in rotating on-call off hours coverage

    Field customer requests

    Investigate performance issues

    Who is this workers main interaction going to be with?

    Other DBAs, managers, mid-range/storage teams, MIS, and external customers

    Interview Process:

    Manager must do at least 1 interview via video/in person where the candidate MUST show ID.

    2 rounds of interviews (3rd round if needed)
