    Summary:

    The Tharstern Database Administrator will be solely responsible for owning, maintaining, and enhancing the print management information system application. Working with the Operations and Accounting Department, the administrator will troubleshoot, technical issues around the application and work to resolve and improve the system for all users.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all aspects of the Tharstern MIS application including installations, maintaining version upgrades, and training
    • Convey product release information containing new functionality (enhancements, bug fixes, etc.) to appropriate stakeholders
    • Responsible for vendor communication to reconcile any issues, enhancement requests, and improvement opportunities
    • Create a process and manage customer-owned inventory and allocate goods monthly
    • Conduct job costing regularly with Operations and Accounting and adjust accordingly
    • Provide requested data collection and allocation for Operations and Accounting teams to identify and determine performance standards and maintain metrics to report on performance monthly
    • Perform month-by-month reconciliation for stock valuation of goods
    • Work with shipping and receiving to properly record and manage physical inventory
    • Construct digital reports as requested
    • Attend Tharstern Peer User Group monthly meeting as the main point of contact
    • Work with peer users to obtain system best practices and use case knowledge
    • Conduct internal user group meetings and become the Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    Requirements:

    Key Requirements:

    • Trade or Technical school certification/diploma or five (5) years equivalent work experience, preferred
    • Experience with software related applications, strategic print, and elections
    • Ability to learn, articulate and support other departments and company products
    • Proven ability to collaborate, develop strong partnerships, build consensus, and navigate complex environments
    • Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational skills, and consistently meeting deadlines
    • Ability to define a process, create procedures and implement them amongst the team
    • Effectively communicates technical ideas and processes, verbally and in writing
    • Listens effectively when others are speaking
    • 21 years of age (minimum)
    • Ability to type on a keyboard and physically operate a computer
    • Possess the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 lbs
    • Stand and sit for extended periods
    • Communicate both in person and by telephone
    • Use hands repetitively to operate and handle standard equipment; and reach with hands and arms
    • Remote/local correspondence with team members daily
    • Travel required, to various sites (product conferences, corporation headquarters, and other user sites)
    • Overnight and weekend travel may be required
    • Must obtain Power BI Certificate within 12 months from date of hire
