Senior Filemaker Database Developer

Experience

I have over 25+ years of FileMaker development experience and 16+ years of private consulting and I have worked with the following database packages:  FileMaker Pro version 6, 8, 8.5, 9,10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and currently FileMaker 19, Visual Basic.NET, Visual Basic 5.0 and 6.0, Access 97,Access 2000, 4th Dimension (4D), Oracle Power Object (also some Oracle Developer 2000), Visual FoxPro, Delphi, RBase, and Dbase 3. I have  worked with PL/SQL, MySQL, SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0, Sybase and DB2.  I have worked on Windows platforms 98, ME, NT, 2000, Windows 7, 8, 10 and the Macintosh platform (OS 7.6 to OS 11.6 ( Big Sur )).

My FileMaker experience extends to both Mac and Windows platforms.  I have experience with setting up and administering FileMaker Server.  I've worked with a number of 3rd party plugins from Troi, 360 Works, Scodigo and Productive Computing.  I've done work integrating FileMaker with SQL Server, MySQL, FoxPro, Oracle, Sybase, QuickBooks and other ODBC compliant backend databases. I’ve used the Filemaker API to connect to Jot Forms and Encircle websites via JSON exchange and CURL.  I’ve done some web work using the FileMaker API for PHP and Web Direct.  I've created iPad and iPhone FileMaker applications using FileMaker Go.  I’ve done some Wordpress development using Elementor plugin page maker and some Wordpress to Filemaker integration.

I have web development experience having worked with FM Webschool's FM Studio & FileMaker in conjunction with the FileMaker API/PHP plugin, FX.PHP, WebServer4D, Cold Fusion (middleware Paradox/IE), Dreamweaver CS3, HTML and ASP.  I have also created systems from the ground up -- documenting, data modeling, flowcharting (Visio), reporting and designing.  I have also written stored procedures and triggers.

In addition, while at Prudential Insurance, I have done help desk call support for over 1000 insurance agents and was responsible for developing an in-house help desk database, network administration (Novell 3.11 & 3.12 - CNA certified, and NT), product testing, software and hardware installation, technical/manual writing, Visual Basic development, and classroom training both in-house and around the United States.
