- Manage the ASC 842 lease accounting process, including lease classification, recognition, measurement, and disclosure, in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Oversee the fixed assets accounting function, including capitalization, depreciation/amortization, impairment testing, and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.
- Conduct regular reviews and analyses of financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Support external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on lease accounting and fixed assets.
- Thorough understanding of ASC 842 lease accounting standards and their application in financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of fixed assets accounting principles, including capitalization criteria, depreciation methods, and impairment testing.
- Experience with accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
