- Define and document project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to plan and execute capital projects focused on the modification or expansion of existing industrial processes.
- Identify and pursue additional needed resources, and stakeholders beyond the operator/customer.
- Manage project deliverables so they complete to forecasted plan.
- Provide procurement support – procurement strategy, identification of suppliers, coordination of delivery, and storage of hardware/equipment.
- Oversee installation and execution of assigned projects through continual engagement with engineering, operations, internal trades, and contractors
- Identify and manage project risks throughout project lifecycle.
- Facilitate a regular rhythm of clear project communications with leadership and stakeholders.
- Engage with plant operators, controls specialists, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process upsets.
- Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management and engineering.
- Contribute towards strategy and policy development. Taking new perspectives on existing solutions. Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as Process Engineer or Project Manager
- BS/MS degree in engineering in engineering from an accredited university
- 10-15 years' experience as Process Engineer or Project Manager
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
