    Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY FAP CLINICAL/PSYCHOLOGIST/SOCIAL WORKER in the COMM
    AND NAVY REGION HAWAII FLEET
    AND FAMILY READINESS (N9) DIVISION, MILITARY
    AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER COUNSELING
    AND ADVOCACY PROGRAM of JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM
    This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: FAP CLINICAL SUPERVISOR (0101),
    PSYCHOLOGIST (0180),
    SOCIAL WORKER (0185)
    Duties


    • You will assess counseling and advocacy programs to identify trends and organizational needs to support the community (e.g., military or civilian).
    • You will assess patient treatment needs to develop a treatment plan.
    • You will identify needs of families experiencing domestic violence to provide counseling or assistance.
    • You will assess the services provided by staff members to verify quality care is provided to service members and their families.
    • You will determine facts and conditions of various life conditions to draw conclusions as to underlying causes or contributing factors of client problems

    • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
    • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

    • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
    • Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance while employed in the subject position

    Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.


    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
    You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


    • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
    You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR


    • The incumbent will be required to work overtime as needed.
    • The incumbent must meet Tier II qualification requirements described in SECNAVINST 1754.8, "Credentials Review and Clinical Privileging of Clinical Providers within Department of the Navy Family Readiness Program"
    Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing leadership, management, policy, program, and resource management for a fleet and family support program; 2) Facilitating multiple program services such as family advocacy, new parent support, clinical counseling, and crisis response emergency management; 3) Directing use of fund resources to ensure delivery of programs and services provided; 4) Maintaining professional contacts with both private and public organizations to develop, implement, or establish programs and operating parameters

    Employees that do not exercise their return rights within five years are no longer eligible for return rights and will be treated as a local hire
