    Environmental Services Full Time Day 8 Hour Shifts(6am - 2:30pm) 40 Req# 42436

    I.JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

    Under direct supervision, maintains an assigned area of the hospital in a sanitary and orderly condition in accordance with departmental and regulatory agency policies, procedures and standards.

    Education

    Completion of elementary school.

    Experience

    Skills

    *Ability to work well under time constraints and to work effectively as a team member.

    *Ability to courteously greet and exchange information with patients, visitors and staff while performing housekeeping tasks.

    Licensures, Certifications

    Physical Requirements

    *Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.

    *Ability to do considerable walking and standing.

    *Ability to lift 50 lbs. maximum, with frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

    *Occasional stooping, stretching, kneeling and crouching.

    Working Conditions

    *Somewhat undesirable; may be in frequent contact with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions, some exposure to dust and infectious materials.

    *Occasional exposure to risk of injury for up to twenty percent of work time.
