- Reconcile multi-company accounts, assist with financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.
- Record monthly journal entries and perform reconciliations of several General Ledger accounts, including cash, credit cards, prepaid expenses, and various accruals.
- Categorize GL transactions with the proper account, department, and subsidiary coding.
- Accurately reconcile various bank accounts and credit cards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and other financial reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with other departments to obtain any missing receipts for credit card transactions.
- Research and resolve any discrepancies; book adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Prepare and file monthly Sales Tax Returns.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with ongoing maintenance of the expense receipt management software.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 1-3 years of directly related accounting experience, with a rapidly-growing company is preferred.
- High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas).
- Solid experience with GL reconciliations, extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience using accounting software; knowledge of Oracle Fusion and Expensify is a plus.
- Superb accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented with a desire to consistently meet goals and deadlines.
- Driven to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
- Discretion to maintain confidentiality and privacy of operational and financial results.
- Flexibility in hours as required for deliverable deadlines.
