    Assistant Controller

    ABOUT THE COMPANY:

    • Our client is one of the leading human services organizations/ Non-Profits in NYC They focus on providing programs in the areas of health, housing, social services to over 150,000 individuals with disabilities and additions annually
    • The organization has over 100+ affiliates and over 50 running programs with a $500 million+ in operation budgets.
    • This role will be sitting out of their offices in the Bronx that has several train lines such as the B,D and bus lines that are accessible. There is also plenty of street parking
    • Great opportunities for movement within the organization and team culture is very personable

    OVERVIEW OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER ROLE:

    • This role with be working alongside a co-assistant controller and specifically managing the real estate development side of the business.
    • Managing the accounts receivable and accounts payable department
    • Managing vendor and investor relations
    • Internal and external reporting
    • Overseeing 2-3 individuals directly

    QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER

    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • Hands on experience and background in Accounting; strong understanding of basic accounting principals
    • Property management or real estate experience
    • Non-profit experience is a plus
