    The Project Engineer


    The Project Engineer is responsible for providing overall administrative and construction support to Project Managers on the day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects.

    They will analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications and determine electrical requirements of a given project

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Prepare and track product submittals.

    Assist in the preparation of change orders.

    Prepare RFI's and track/document responses.

    Maintain office and field drawing sets with updates as required.

    Provide support in maintaining all change order, submittal and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for construction meetings.

    Assist in ordering of equipment and materials


    Assist field with communication to and from General Contractor, reference RFI's to project documents (Procore maintenance), maintain and track extra work tickets, assist with field redlines, maintain punch lists.

    Establish and maintain good working relationships with the Owner, General Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors to ensure a quality project.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    High School Diploma; 2+ years of experience in the construction industry.

    Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.

    Strong analytical skills

    Experience with union workforces, labor rate calculations and collective bargaining agreements a plus.

    Knowledge of project scheduling, project cost tracking, procurement.

    Ability to learn and listen.

    Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience with estimating software a plus.
