- Delivers individualized patient-centered treatment plan based on evidence-based practice and selects appropriate interventions as per the plan of care established by the physical therapist.
- Aides in the periodic reassessment of patient progress and contributes to discharge planning.
- Supervises treatment provided by physical therapy assistant students.
- Participates and provides recommendations for client care interventions to the interdisciplinary health care team.
- Reports any changes in patient status or needs to the supervising therapist promptly.
- Delegates and instructs supportive personnel in services to be provided.
- Provides timely documentation following department and/or entity policy and as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, reimbursement requirements, and physician treatment plan.
- Uses professional judgment to ensure safety to self, patients, and others at all times.
- Performs all other duties as requested by the manager.

The Opportunity:
A Certified Physical Therapist Assistant is developing skills in the clinical setting. This PTA will assist in patient treatment programs as planned and directed by the registered Occupational Therapist using exercise and functional activities. Referral of the patient by a physician and evaluation by the PTR are required before PTA involvement. This position is primarily in Allen County and surrounding counties.
Shift: Part-time.
