    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionTool and Die MakerSeeking a Tool and Die Maker to repair and maintain a wide variety of complex fixtures, tooling, gauges, dies, test stands, and specialized machine tools to maximize production performance.

    Maintaining, repairing, improving, and preparing machine tools and dies, by welding; hand and surface grindingLift, positioning, and securing machined parts on surface plates or worktables, using cranePerforming routine preventative maintenance, such as lubrication, cleaning, sharpening, and replacement of worn partsOperating and testing machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to used shape parts to specified dimensions and finishesUsing precision measuring instruments to verify parts for conformance with specificationsFile, grind, shim, and adjust different parts for proper fit / assemblyConducting test runs with completed tools or dies, and adjust as requiredRecommending methods and materials to be utilized for specific production operationsMaintaining and update documentation, such as part samples, diagnoses, and daily logs in written and digital formsAt FIC, safety is priority #1.

    Must comply with all governmental and company safety rules & regulationsDemonstrates ability to work in a multi-cultural team environmentMaintaining and update documentation, such as part samples, diagnoses, and daily logs in written and digital forms Requirements 2+ years of experience in Tool & DieExperience repairing and maintaining Progressive and Transfer Dies (Majority of dies will be Transfer)Knowledgeable on how to operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders and how to shape parts to specified dimensions and finishesHigh level competency in use of micrometers, dial indicators, and calipersExperience with safe operation of overhead Cranes & heavy loadsProficient in TIG and MIG WeldingStrong troubleshooting and communication skills90% Company Paid Health BenefitsExcellent Medical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsShort-term disability paid by employerOptional long-term disability, and additional life insurance401k company matchVacation, Holiday, and Personal Days PaidAbout FIC America Corp.

    We use stamping and welding machines to manufacture exhaust, suspension, fuel, environmental, and exterior and interior parts for Nissan, Honda, and Toyota.

    We strive to make reliable and environmentally conscious "Quality Parts at Lower Cost".FIC America utilizes numerous stamping presses ranging from 150 tons to 2500 tons.

    This includes Blanking, Progressive, Tandem, and Transfer presses.
