Description

Direct hire opportunity for a Tool Maker at our manufacturing client in Grayslake, IL. They are a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices and systems for world-class OEM's along with highly engineered mechanical and electrical accessories for the marine industry.

6am-2:30pm with an hourly compensation up to $37/hr

What you will do:

Set up and operate Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Milling Machines
Monitor process parameters on the injection machines and secondary systems.
Safely, accurately, and timely execution of tooling changeovers per work instructions.
Build small to medium die cast and injection molds from tooling drawings and piece part prints.
Troubleshoot molding problems including but not limited to flash, short shots, dimensional issues, etc.

What is required:

Running lathes, surface grinders, milling, and sinker EDM machines
Have built small to mediumsized precision die cast dies & plastic injection molds from tooling drawings and piece part prints
Able to troubleshoot and make replacement inserts
Able to build fixtures for manufacturing assembly machines
Able to lift and move steel weighing less than 35 pounds
Able to move around equipment, bend, lean, twist
Threeplus years of related experience
