- Diagnose tooling issues/complications
- Communicate all problems found to senior staff
- Participate in tooling repairs as needed by senior staff
- Keep work areas neat and clean to maintain a safe work environment.
- Read blueprints & schematics
- Use hand held tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, socket sets, etc.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Polish parts as required
- Take the lead on individual tool projects and preventative maintenance projects
- Remain stationary for extended periods of time
- Move around Tool Room
- Communicate with Tool Room Management and team
- Position self to ground level as needed to adjust machinery, or other lower level tasks
- Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 85 lbs
- Manipulate small parts, tools, levers, and other small, hand-eye coordinated tasks.
- 2+ years' experience in Tool & Die or related field
- Technical Certificate from Trade School
- 5+ years' experience in related field
