    Industrial Maintenance Mechanic| Raleigh | HIRING IMMEDIATELY

    *$5,000 Sign On Bonus*

    Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a self-motivated, solutions oriented Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join the Maintenance Department at our manufacturing facility in Raleigh, NC. Mechanics are a vital part of the asset care strategy of the Raleigh, NC facility. Mechanics provide preventative, reactive, and trouble shooting skills on manufacturing, facility, and support equipment. Mechanics are a vital member of the maintenance delivery process that includes skilled electricians, maintenance planner, and part room clerk. **Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of relevant experience **within the corrugated box/paper, mill, or printing industry and have the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment & components with minimum supervision or assistance.

    Available Shifts:

    • **12-hour shifts **with rotating schedule
    • Day Shift: 7P-7A Night Shift: 7P-7A - Rotation between the two schedules is required

    Responsibilities
    • Maintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals
    • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments
    • Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems
    • Work on gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, pumps.
    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
    • Perform simple machinist skills
    • Use a variety of hand and power tools
    • Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
    • Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment
    Qualifications

    Maintenance Mechanics interface with managers, team members, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:

    • Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or industrial maintenance associates degree with a willingness to grow into the job
    • Must take and pass Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
    • Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
    • Ability to effectively communicate to aid in trouble shooting
    • Welding experience, a plus
    • Must show initiative and adapability to work independently and/or as part of a team
    • Must have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
    • Experience or desire to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift a plus.
    • Be willing to work overtime as required to meet company goals
    • Track record of staying with a company a minimum of 2 years
    • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance

    The Evergreen Packaging Raleigh Carton Converting Facility is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is also home to North Carolina State University and the state's capitol. Opened in 1953 and employing 120 team members. The facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of global brands found in retail groceries throughout the US. It also extrudes cupstock and foil board and has received the State of North Carolina Excellence Award for the last 20 years. The facility has also exceded 8 years without a lost time injury.
