Duties:


  • Works with the SHARP Program Manager and Command Staff to manage the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program for the Brigade Commander.
  • Conducts prevention activities in an effort to reduce or eliminate sexual harassment and sexual assault.
  • Plans, organizes staffs, carries out reviews and evaluates a positive management oriented SHARP program that includes efforts to resolve systemic problems.
  • Establishes information and interactive, engaging training to ensure understanding of the reporting procedures, confidentiality and other elements of the SHARP program.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must successfully complete 80hour SHARP Course and obtain DOD Certification within 6months of hire.
  • Must successfully complete a 7week SHARP training course and complete all requirements to obtain DoD Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Individuals will be screened by the through the Crime Records Center and the Army Central Registry for a history of domestic violence.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Position is Emergency Essential in support of mobilization and wartime mission.
  • Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployment locations.
  • You may be expected to travel up to 25% for this position.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a preappointment and periodic basis.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing managerial and technical assistance in programs such as Equal Opportunity and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response; evaluating programs to identify and resolve systematic issues; and directing program activities that emphasize prevention of sexual assault and harassment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS09).

  • Successfully completed a Ph.
D.

or equivalent doctoral degree; OR three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

  • Specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; AND at least two years of graduate education as described above, but less than the required three years. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
