Duties:


  • Monitors INSCOM responsibilities in execution of the intelligence aspects of contract linguist requirements development and utilization under the DLITE contract portfolio on behalf of the Program Director.
  • Works with assigned civilian, military, and contractor employees, performing a variety of operational, security related and administrative functions.
  • Makes decisions and initiates actions that involve the interpretation of policy or the setting of precedents.
  • Meets with contractors, officials from higher headquarters, adjacent staff offices, subordinates and supported commands on issues of disagreement to influence or persuade them to the comply with the intent of the CLIPSO Program.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 10% or less of the time.

  • In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with Program support, directly related to contracting, linguist efforts and/or intelligence oversight.
  • Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligencerelated research, analysis, collections and/or operations. Creditable specialized experience may include previous military intelligence experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.

This experience should demonstrate:

Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.


  • This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS12).
  • You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
