    YOUR DAY AS A MANAGER - WAREHOUSE

    As the Warehouse Manager at Viking Group, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse in Denver, Colorado. From managing receiving and shipping processes to optimizing material handling procedures, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products in and out of the facility. With your strong leadership skills and keen eye for detail, you will drive excellence in all aspects of warehouse management, upholding the company's commitment to safety and integrity.

    REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS MANAGER - WAREHOUSE JOB

    To excel in the role of Warehouse Manager at Viking Group, you must possess a diverse range of skills and competencies. With a strong background in warehouse management, you should be adept at providing leadership and guidance in all functional areas, including shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material handling. Proficiency in utilizing RF technology for transaction processing and ensuring accuracy in shipments is crucial.

    Effective communication and coordination skills are essential for liaising with other departments to uphold high levels of customer service and on-time delivery. Attention to detail is key in maintaining safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards, while also leading continuous improvement projects. Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to supervise and manage a team are paramount for success in this dynamic and challenging role.

    Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

    • Provides leadership.
    • guidance and training in all warehouse functional areas

    • Processes transactions utilizing RF technology and/or by identifying items on a paper pick ticket according to bin location.

    • Ensures all materials are packed properly.
    • Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy.
    • Coordinates with Customer Service and Fabrication (in joint facilities) on a minimum daily basis to ensure the highest level of customer service and on-time delivery are maintained.

    • including minor facility maintenance while staying within budgetary standards.
    • Utilizes current operating system (JD Edwards) in inquiries for shipping.

    • Ensure all SOPs are followed in shipping and receiving processes and procedures as required to fil customer needs.
    • Operates banding equipment to ready pipe bundles for shipment when required.
    • Supervises assigned employees.
    • including assessing and planning for overtime needs and monitoring all company rest and meal periods.
    • To comply and maintain all information in an organized format as defined through the company audit process.
    • Implements 5S strategies and show continuous improvement.
    • Maintains a satisfactory rating on Safety and Quality Audits.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
