    Managing Consultant, EHS Compliance/Project Management

    with industry experience to join our growing Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management Services and Compliance team in

    Washington, DC or Philadelphia, PA .

    The ideal candidate will bring strong environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance and industry and/or consulting experience to help our clients proactively address their EHS risks and challenges.

    As a senior leader, you will be responsible for supporting on a range of EHS management projects to build a sustainable business locally, while networking with ERM's global technical team to share best practices across the industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Support development and implementation of EHS Management Systems, compliance assessments and audits to ensure effective risk control and regulatory compliance.

    Contribute to expanding ERM's EHS business.

    Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.

    Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business.

    Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to Build a network within and outside of
    ERMthat will enable you to leverage your skills and solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.

    Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of technical team.

    • Manage multiple projects within
    scope/budget/schedule

    expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
    Perform EHS compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    Develop, manage, and implement environmental management systems and programs for corporate clients.
    Manage and develop plans, permits, and procedures for air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, storm water, and wastewater.
    Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the EHS team in the Mid-

    Atlantic

    Provide on-site compliance support at client facilities.
    Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams and mentor junior staff.
    Design and direct corporate EHS strategies and programs and achieve client's expectations for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering, environmental science, safety, business administration, or related discipline.
    4+ years relevant experience in working with organizations on EHS management, leadership/culture, and/or sustainable EHS compliance programs.
    Experience maintaining corporate management standards (either as a consultant or an internal compliance officer).
    Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
    Be passionate about EHS performance improvement and have substantial experience developing and delivering world-class EHS program solutions.
    Ability to work independently and in a team setting, with guidance and direction.

    Ability to be adaptable, deal with ambiguity, and flexible to changing situations, able to think outside the box, and to identify and respond rapidly to safety issues in field locations.

    Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports and the ability to communicate effectively.
    Willingness to travel, both within the United States and to international locations in support of client programs. Up to 30% travel may be required. Must have a valid passport.
    Hold a valid driver license.
    BS/MS degree preferred (MPH, Bachelors of Science).
    Certification in field; CSP, PE, or similar registration highly desirable.
    For the

    Managing Consultant, EHS Compliance/Project Management

    position, we anticipate the annual base pay of

    $95,868 – $110,000 USD . An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.


    We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above .

    This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
