    Job Description
    Join our team, as an experienced Medical Front Desk at a family physician private practice.

    Greet all visitors, employees and families entering the center in a positive and professional manner, answer front desk telephones, screen and direct calls take and relay messages as needed.

    Obtaining patient demographic and verifying insurance information at each visit. Obtaining necessary patient information to meet current Federal guidelines and Meaningful Use guidelines for electronic medical records. Scanning pertinent patient information into EMR including patient authorizations, referrals and reports from hospitals and medical entities.

    Collecting co-payments, including cash, checks, and credit cards. Scheduling follow-up appointments, and inputting recall notices into EMR as needed. Ensuring patient has all necessary paperwork for further testing and Dr's visits. Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPAA compliance). Identify flying and resolving minor patient billing complaints. Maintaining cleanliness of waiting room. Other duties as assigned.
