    Description

    As a Business Development Specialist at Cadwalader, you will work in the New York office closely with the Director and Associate Director of Business Development, Business Development Managers, and the wider Business Development, Marketing, and Communications Team. The goal is to provide global support across business development and marketing, including client research, analysis, intelligence, and contribute to growing the Firm's client base and business.

    In this role, you're expected to utilize your business development expertise, organizational skills, and communication abilities while maintaining a positive, high-energy approach. Familiarity with the New York business and legal landscape is advantageous.

    Responsibilities:

    • Global Practice Business Planning, Development, and Execution: Support business development, budgeting, and marketing planning, ensuring focus on key clients, relationship building, cross-selling, identifying new business opportunities, and tracking the return on investment. Assist in following up on business development initiatives.
    • Marketing and Communications: Collaborate on marketing communications programs including thought leadership, client events, engagement with media, and submissions for industry awards to enhance the firm's brand and reputation.
    • Practice Infrastructure: Maintain practice and matter descriptions, client lists, and assist in managing significant matter descriptions. Review and update practice descriptions across platforms and materials.
    • Teamwork: Foster collaboration among the global Business Development, Marketing, and Communications Team, supporting junior and senior members, participating in team activities, and training.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of four (4) years supporting business development or marketing at a law or professional services firm
    • Strong research and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, liberal arts or related field
    • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required

    The annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 depending on qualifications, experience, education, and location.
