    Description


    A brand new Director level role at a globally recognized investment firm has become available for a Lead Java Developer in their Cary N.C.

    office.

    This is a hands on java developer position with plenty of architecture and system design work.

    Part of your responsibilities will be to build out services for the next generation payment processing platform and utilize payments processing and booking data to provide intraday transparency and insights to optimize financial benefit for both the clients and the bank whilst writing quality code.

    This person will be mentoring people and "leading from the front" but it isn't a manager role. However, there will be the opportunity to manage people if that is the direction you want to move in.

    They are also happy to see people that have become too managerial in their role and want to get back into a senior coding position.

    Being a good communicator and having a confident character is also key.

    Skills You'll Need

    Experience with Core Java, data structures, algorithms, and design, as well as Object Oriented Design and Functional programming (Java, Scala)

    Experience with technical development and payments domains

    Experience working with enterprise architecture patterns and solid working knowledge of enterprise architecture best practices

    Knowledge of deployment automation continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) (Jenkins or team city), automated testing (Junit, Mockito, behaviour driven development (BDD), and serenity cucumber), and containerization/virtualization (Docker/Kubernetes)

    Able to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to team members
