    **Food Services Coordinator**

    Administration Stevens Point, Wisconsin Minimum Experience **Experienced** Hours: Full Time or Part Time (Non-exempt, hourly; full benefits package for Full Time) Organization: Boys & Girls Club of Portage County (non-profit, youth service)

    Reports to: Executive Director

    Key Responsibility Areas:

    Food Service Coordinator is responsible for leadership and management of food services staff and programs; planning, ordering, and creating healthy, yummy meals and snacks within DPI guidelines for Club members ages 6 to 18; safety and cleanliness of kitchen and caf and completes administrative, financial, and record keeping requirements for food services programs.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    Provide overall leadership to food service programs and staff

    Serve as liaison between kitchen staff and BGCPC operations/administrative staff

    Meal planning, food and supply orders, and inventory management

    Serve as the DPI Authorized Representative and primary contact

    Maintain current knowledge of DPI regulations and requirements related to BGC food services, including, USDA CACFP and SFSP programs

    Maintain current knowledge of Portage County Health & Human Services requirements related to food service

    Complete administrative, financial, and record keeping requirements; including, monthly reimbursement claims, daily reviewing and processing of invoices/receipts, and quarterly financial reports

    Review kitchen staffing, scheduling, and staff relations issues to ensure efficacy

    Regularly inspect kitchen operations for compliance with HHS food safety regulations

    Conduct regular reviews of BGC sites to ensure compliance with requirements

    Lead regular (monthly or as needed) kitchen staff meetings to review operations, training, and administration

    Collaborate with kitchen staff and site directors to complete monthly supper and snack menus that comply with USDA requirements

    Serve as official contact for food vendors and conduct regular price comparisons to ensure best pricing

    Collaborate with Director of Operations, Director of Facilities, Grounds & Safety, and Site Directors to ensure meal service is meeting organizational needs and operating efficiently

    Conduct annual Meal Program training sessions for program staff

    Experience/ Skills:

    Pursuit of a bachelors degree, has bachelor's degree or related experience

    Prior experience in food industry. Experience in non-profit operations management and supervision preferred, OR an equivalent combination of experience and education

    Leadership experience and skills, including an understanding of group dynamics

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities

    Exception interpersonal skills

    Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certified (will train)

    Demonstrated computer technology skills appropriate to BGCPC computer use.

    Flexibility to work Club site hours especially as seasons and program needs change

    Valid state drivers license and clean driving record

    Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

    High energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted projects; good interpersonal abilities-able to interact effectively with co-workers of all levels as well as with representatives of other organizations and institutions. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tact, maturity, and flexibility; physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting, standing, stooping, and lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. Must be able to function under fast-paced and noisy conditions.
