Position OverviewThe Development Engineer role will include design and development of new snowboard products. The products should be high quality, good durability, marketable, capable of efficient production and cost effective.
The Development Engineer works closely with the Product Director, Product Line Manager and other colleagues to meet market and financial needs.
This position will be responsible for new product planning, prototyping, creating product design and engineering documentation and working with vendors and suppliers for the commercialization of the products.
ResponsibilitiesProduct Development
Develop specific designs and technologies to meet category needs
Innovation
Be educated and aware of industry and market trends, generate concepts and find creative solutions for design challenges that add value to the performance and marketability of the product and brand.
Project and Engineering ManagementDevelop and maintain accurate specifications, tool lists and development lists for clear communication with the factory
Quality
Set up specifications for quality control of product and ensure that Q/A processes are efficient and effective
Travel – Minimum Requirements
Several multi day (4-10day) international and domestic trips per year to support our manufacturing centers as well as customer engagement and marketing events.
Postion OverviewThe Sales Manager (NA Wholesale) for K2 Skis will manage the North American sales force of independent rep agencies to drive sales growth and hit financial targets for the brand.
The Sales Manager works closely with our Product and Marketing teams to sell, educate, and promote the brand.Working under the guidance of the Global Brand Director and the VP of Sales, the Sales Manager, will ensure the alignment of sales strategy and initiatives with the overarching brand goals and product focus.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for meeting fiscal year forecast for K2 Skis
Control and allocate expenses within budgeted goals
Maintain complex forecasting tools, used to drive factory PO placement and inventory delivery to the US marketplace
Continually Manage and analyze sales reporting data and forecasts
Ensure sales potential is met through accurate forecasting and communication with supply chain.
Plan, coordinate and execute sales meetings, on-snow demos, and private line showings
Execute retail sales programs and promotions as well as digital sales
Maintain positive relationships and active sales engagement with existing and potential retail partners
Regular check-ins with the finance team providing updates on the market, sales context, and voice operational requests and needs
Grow distribution of K2 Ski products in the US marketplace, through relationship building with retail partners and motivating the US rep force
Support the Global Brand Director in their capacity
Support sales force and retail base to maximize brand visibility
Assist in coordination of sales and marketing meetings and trade events
Order and coordinate demo and sales samples as well as SWAG/POP
Assist in coordinating and facilitating social, email and web promotions
Assist in the distribution of athlete/team gear
Manage inventory of marketing and sales sample and demo product
Provide digital outreach – answering questions and providing insights online
Provide info to web/digital team to keep Brand website(s) up to date
Assist with copywriting for catalogs, B2B, and consumer websites
Manage projects and timelines
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Three to five years' relevant experience in account management or sales
Must be a competent skier, comfortable with different terrains
Demonstrated management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data verbally and in writing.
Must have prior industry experience
Expert mastery of Excel including data base analysis, Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc.
Outgoing personality-sales friendly
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing
Experience with forecasting, inventory, and sales preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Ability to enter data for long periods of time
Ability to stand for long periods of time
May be required to lift 5-50 pounds occasionally
Salary
This is a Salary position with Elevate Outdoor Collective. The pay range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 annually.
