    Description

    Position Summary :
    The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller. This role will be responsible for the daily and monthly reporting for multiple entities.

    Key Roles / Responsibilities :
    Analyze and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy of coding and costs.
    Reconciliation of intercompany accounts as well as investments in subsidiaries
    Preparation of month-end entries including payroll, interest, expense, and revenue accruals
    Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.
    Assist with supervision of A/P and A/R personnel.
    Maintain fixed asset schedules and prepare monthly depreciation entries.
    Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
    Preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
    Preparation of ad-hoc reports as needed.

    Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
    2 – 10 years accounting experience demonstrating a strong proficiency with accounting and financial principles
    Building Supply Distribution or Commercial Real Estate experience preferred, not required
    Strong computer skills including Excel
    Strong character and ethical values
    Possess strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills to be effective at communicating with all levels of the organization as well as suppliers, vendors, and customers.
