LHH is partnering with a Manufacturing client in Fort Worth, TX to hire a Senior Accountant.

We are actively seeking a skilled Senior Accountant who possesses a deep understanding of cost accounting/ inventory control, technical accounting, and auditing processes.

This position will work in the office, pays $90-100K and has a comprehensive benefits package.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Control:
Spearhead the development and implementation of robust inventory control procedures to guarantee precise tracking, valuation, and reporting of inventory. Oversee and perform cycle counts and reconcile variances to uphold inventory accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.

Technical Accounting:
Prepare and maintain inventory-related accounts, including COGS calculations, inventory evaluation, and reserves. Generate journal entries, conduct general ledger account reconciliations, and maintain fixed assets. Ensure compliance with GAAP standards in all financial reporting activities.

Working with Auditors:
Provide support during both internal and external audits, including training and addressing inventory audit requests. Collaborate closely with auditors to ensure accurate representation of inventory-related accounts and processes.

Cost Analysis:
Analyze various costs, including inventory, production, and expenses. Review costs for inaccuracies and recommend cost-effective solutions. Forecast cost-related changes and risks.

System Implementation:
Design and implement cost accounting systems. Build and manage updated databases to facilitate efficient cost information management.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and maintain inventory-related accounts, including COGS calculations, reserves, and period costs. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Analyze inventory-related accounts, investigate variances, and provide explanations for management review.

Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of inventory. Monitor inventory levels, identify obsolete or slow-moving inventory, and recommend appropriate actions. Conduct periodic inventory audits to assess compliance with inventory procedures and GAAP.

Process Improvement:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory management systems. Identify opportunities to streamline inventory control and accounting procedures, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities. Lead or participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory control, and technical accounting roles within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in ERP systems, such as JobBoss, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Pay Details:
$90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
