    Description

    Senior Systems Administrator

    Location: Downtown Houston, TX

    Duration: 06 Months plus

    Rate: DOE

    US Citizens and Green cards are Preferred.

    The Senior Systems Administrator reports to the IT Technical Services Manager and is responsible for the administration, implementation, support, and management of a wide range of IT infrastructure systems; serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems and environments.

    KNOWLEDGE

    Strong level of knowledge in Microsoft Azure Technologies, Azure Security, Azure DevOps Infrastructure, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange On-Premises, Microsoft Teams, Windows System Administration, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, system performance monitoring tools, and effective project management techniques. Expertise in the complete Microsoft technology stack.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Manage day-to-day operations of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Office 365.
    • Monitor system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
    • Maintain records of systems and equipment inventory.
    • Lead projects for system operations and administration.
    • Ensure high availability and performance of critical system resources.
    • Develop project directions and schedules maximizing benefits.
    • Interact with customers, peers, and managers to understand business needs.
    • Participate in cybersecurity incident investigation and resolution.

    QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS)

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience as a Senior Systems Administrator. Experience in complex systems design and implementation of enterprise-level systems.
    • Additional experience/knowledge in Microsoft Azure, Exchange, ProofPoint, Azure Workload Design, M365, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, PowerShell, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and more.
