    Human Resources Generalist - Oklahoma City, United States - Addison Group

    Description

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with management in supporting designated geographic regions or business units. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues.
    • Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes.
    • Provide support to managers in conducting performance reviews and addressing performance issues.
    • Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans as needed.
    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
    • Manage the offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and processing necessary paperwork.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
    • Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and interview questions.
    • Coordinate background checks and employment verifications.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of affirmative action plans.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 2-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and performance management.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
