JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIESEmployee will perform as a lead of development, sustainment, or operations & maintenance team on more complex engineering assignments.
In addition, they will perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, design, development, manufacturing, testing, installation, integration, sustainment, operation, and maintenance of diverse software, electronic and/or mechanical equipment and systems.
Employee will also be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards.
There is occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness.

The Instrumentation Operation Engineer is responsible for modifying, installing, testing, evaluating, repairing, and documenting the operation and performance of airborne test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and ground support equipment.
Desired Knowledge / Experience:
Must be able to work in a field environment which will include shift work, overtime, and travel to remote locations.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The incumbent must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution with 2 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering.
The candidate must have practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions.
The incumbent should have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and must possess planning/organizing skills.The expected pay range for this position is $ 89,440 to $ 142,376
