Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Engine Technician Grade Level 3 to serve as a member of our F135 Field Team supporting the F-35, F-22 and Special Programs at Edwards AFB, CA.
This is an amazing Opportunity for and Engine Technician at Edwards Air Force Base location on 1st or 2nd Shift.
Key Responsibilities:
You will perform the work necessary to ensure engine production requirements and ensure quality standards are met for the overhaul and repair or test of F-135, F-119 and F-100 engines or modules and associated new technologies.
This role will include working on engines installed in the F-35 Aircraft as well as uninstalled engines in the back shop environment.
Complete the work priorities and assigned day-to-day tasks necessary to build, test and inspect Pratt and Whitney F135, F100, F119 gas turbine engines.
This maintenance requirement will include engines installed in the F-35 Aircraft as well as uninstalled engines in the back shop environment.
Interface and oversee with various other functions (Quality, Local FSE's, BEM's, Customers; U.S Air Force, LMAC etc.) to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery.
As required, work with Flight Test engineering to improve methods and processes to build engines and related component test hardware.

Good interpersonal skills in dealing with others in diverse work environment.
This position requires an individual who is detail oriented. Accuracy in work performed is a requirement.
Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift
You will be required to work atop maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet, and position self to perform maintenance/inspections underneath engine rails and inside the exhaust duct.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Comprehensive knowledge of gas turbine engine construction, related inspection methods, disassembly methods, assembly methods, machine shop practices and overhaul/repair procedures.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift and on weekend as needed.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Military Aerospace Engine Maintenance experience.
Hoist and forklift operation experience is a plus.
Familiar with test cell and flight line maintenance operations is a plus.
Engine blade blend is a plus
Borescope experience, familiarity with flight line maintenance operations, knowledge of non
- powered Aerospace Ground Equipment and a confirmed ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals is preferred.
Depot-Level (D-Level) or Intermediate level (I-level) maintenance experience is a plus
Air frame and Power Plant License
