    Description

    Title: Accountant III

    Location: West Hills, CA 91304

    Duration: 12 Months

    Exact Schedule - 8am - 5pm M-F | Fully Onsite

    Pay: $40 ph.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Performing monthly and quarterly accounting close activities as assigned.
    • Ensure proper accounting records and GL reconciliations around all diverse accounting and intercompany processes.
    • Preparing journal entries and ensuring the timely closing of corporates books. Activities include review of close tasks, coordination and information gathering from business owners in order to prepare close analyses and entries.
    • Fixed Asset Management Assisting business partners in creating CAR (Capital Appropriation Request) and routing for approval, Create Asset Shells, post monthly depreciation run, create FA reconciliation and roll-forward schedules.
    • Revenue recognition Key spreadsheets FOB Analysis, post deferred revenue aligned with TMO revenue recognition policy.
    • Preparing account reconciliations and taking the appropriate actions to clear all reconciliation items.
    • Supporting management reporting package and performing financial statement analyses and documenting meaningful explanations for fluctuations for management and auditors.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
    • 5 years of work experience in Finance or Accounting, with a solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis
    • Strong knowledge of current US GAAP required (Revenue Recognition)
    • Strong SAP systems experience is required
    • Strong skill set in MS Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Skills that will help you excel:

    • Experience and/or ability to learn and use Cognos, HFM, SAP or similar tools
    • Comfortable with large, sophisticated data and communicating findings to senior management
    • Knowledge of standard finance systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, CMR, SAP)
