    Description

    Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for our client's organization. This position will be responsible for various accounting functions including month-end closing, investment accounting, regulatory reporting, and supporting the finance team in financial analysis and reporting activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Assist in performing month-end closing activities such as preparation of income statements, balance sheets, consolidated statements, and management reports.
    2. Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly investment accounting functions including posting investment transactions and maintaining proper documentation.
    3. Update and reconcile the loan analytics tool (nCino) on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the model. Run reports, balance records, and maintain ACL schedules.
    4. Collaborate with third-party vendors for ALM (Asset Liability Management) and ProfitStar analysis by reconciling and submitting monthly files.
    5. Prepare and assist in the preparation of regulatory agency and governmental reports such as the call report, Federal Reserve FR 2900 Report, and Business Property Tax Return.
    6. Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely information as required.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    1. Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
    2. Five to eight years of experience in similar or related accounting roles, preferably in the financial services or banking industry.
    3. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.
    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, for financial analysis, reporting, and documentation.
    5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
    6. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
