    Maxton Shipping is an American global freight forwarding company with a U.S. Operations Center based in Houston, Texas. We are a growing team of 30+ logistics and technology professionals aiming to expand our presence worldwide. Our company delivers industry innovation through our newest platform, , which provides a full cycle of export/import transportation services in the ocean freight segment, powered by direct export/import ocean service contracts with top carriers and the global reach through our corporate branches and dedicated agents worldwide.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Sales Manager (Ocean Freight) who can effectively navigate the complexities of scaling operations, adapt strategies, and seize emerging opportunities throughout the United States.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prospecting new business opportunities 3PL service focusing on NVOCC export/import ops and related logistics services: ocean freight, inland freight, warehousing, customs clearance export/import, etc.
    • Assisting with onboarding of new business, developing SOPs, and proper turnover to the operations team for execution.
    • Presenting logistics solutions to clients in collaboration with Account & Operations teams
    • Coordinate the Pricing team to develop efficient contracts and spot business opportunities.
    • Hiring, training, & developing a team of sales representatives.
    • Travel to visit customers or industry venues is required for less than 20% of the work time.

    Experience and Skills required:

    • Exceptional knowledge of the ocean freight industry and its pain points
    • A deep understanding of 3PL logistics operations and the capability to articulate logistics solutions based on customer requirements are essential.
    • Proven track record of successfully directly selling International freight forwarding services at the national scale
    • Proven track record of successful account development and increase in profitability
    • Ability to articulate logistics solutions and present them to the customer in person and online
    • Solid experience using CRM systems, MS Office Products, and online TMS systems
    • Accountability and team play.
    • Availability to work extra hours when necessary and communicate with the operations team to reach customer satisfaction
