    Maxton Shipping is an American global freight forwarding company with a U.S. Operations Center based in Houston, Texas. We are a growing team of 30+ logistics and IT professionals aiming to expand our presence worldwide.

    Our company delivers industry innovation through our newest platform, , which provides a full cycle of export/import transportation services in the ocean freight segment.

    We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary

    Sales Manager - Ocean Freight

    who can effectively navigate the complexities of scaling operations, adapting strategies, and seizing emerging opportunities.

    If you have a proven sales and business development track record, with a passion for exceeding targets and driving growth, this is an exceptional opportunity for you.


    Responsibilities:
    Improving overall profitability of the organization by achieving required target goals and business initiatives.

    Prospecting new business opportunities through phone, email, social channels, market research, and industry events in collaboration with the SDR team.

    Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers, developing a deep understanding of their business needs, and providing them with the best possible service.

    Assisting with onboarding of new business wins, SOP's, and proper turnover to the operations team for execution.

    Presenting the demo of a software platform to potential clients, as well as negotiating pricing and terms based on service offerings.

    Preparing sales presentations for new prospects as well as QBR's for key account client meetings as required.
    Assisting and closing collaboration with the pricing team on requests for larger RFP's.
    Coaching, training, & developing a team of sales individuals.

    What will set you up for success:
    A personality that is outgoing, positive, and possesses strong negotiation skills.
    Experience with directly selling International Ocean and Air services. 5+ years required.
    Own portfolio of customers/book of business (FCL Import / Expor t).
    Experience in International Freight Forwarding operations.
    Concrete business examples of sales accomplishments.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers remotely.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    Solid experience using a CRM system, MS Office Products, and online TMS systems.
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
