- This is a fully remote, corporate level position. Payers and team members work in Eastern Standard Time.
- Great opportunity for a SNF Business Office Manager.
- One year of billing and collections for Skilled Nursing Facilities experience required.
- Customer service experience with extensive incoming/outgoing phone work required.
- Demonstrated ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as a self-motivating individual.
- Knowledge of the Point Click Care system is preferred.
- Initiate contact with new residents or responsible party to discuss financial planning, charge types and amounts.
- Initiate contact with residents or responsible party who have unpaid medical bills through phone calls, letters, or emails.
- Generate, review and upload to vendor the monthly patient statements.
- Generate off cycle statements upon admission or discharge of resident.
- Post private pay cash to resident accounts.
- Ensure that all billing, cash posting, and deposit reconciliation is completed by scheduled deadlines.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash and misapplied payments.
- Conduct follow-up communications with residents or responsible party to ensure they adhere to payment arrangements and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state debt collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), as well as Carmelite collection policies.
