***Electron Microscopy Sciences | Azer Scientific is searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our accounts receivable team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. In this role you will also be responsible for collections, ensuring that the company receives all necessary payments from debtors. You will monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts, contact customers or business partners to notify them of overdue payments and document debts collected.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Monitor and manage customer accounts and invoicing.
Establish, monitor, and update customer credit limits as required.
Follow up with customers with overdue balances.
Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure that books are always current and accurate so that management can make effective business decisions.
Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts.
Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong mathematical skills.
Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
Excellent time management skills and detail oriented.
Ability to keep company and partner confidences.
Experience in ERP systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
2 + years of equivalent experience in accounts receivable.
Experience in driving process improvement.
Experience with being responsible for collections.
Experience with accounting software and online platforms.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple business functions like purchasing and finance.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
