Objective:

SBA Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating with Borrower, Lender and other internal and external partners to perform SBA Department support functions according to program requirements.


Classification:
This position is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position who reports directly to the SBA Program Director.


Location:
Hamilton County


Essential Functions:

  • Book loan on core system; perform any required loan maintenance.
  • Input initial financial requirements, other ticklers.
  • Assist SBA Portfolio Manager in clearing any postclosing loan exceptions to ensure file is complete

These include:

  • Postclosing UCC search to confirm lien perfection.
  • Collection of vehicle titles.
  • Recorded mortgages and final title policies.
  • Other items (deal specific).
  • Maintain and monitor loan exceptions and coordinate with SBA Packager/Closer and Lender to ensure exceptions are cleared on a timely basis.
  • Assist with collection of ongoing financial and other documentation requirements.
  • Pay guaranty fee to SBA in a timely fashion via ; track fees paid for SBA Portfolio Manager review.
  • Prepare servicing actions and send to SBA; document loan file and perform any required loan maintenance.
  • Upload SBA Form 159 and any other required forms to Etran (as applicable).
  • Book secondary market participation; perform any required loan maintenance.
  • Participate in ongoing SBA training to enhance skills, ensuring adherence to all SBA program requirements.
  • Working knowledge of SBA SOP 50 10 and SOP 50 57.

Secondary Functions:


  • Complete 1502 report monthly and submit to SBA on all loans in portfolio; address any errors and correct.
  • Report any changes in loan status (example: if a loan is past due or has moved into liquidation).
  • Conduct postclosing audits of all new loans and note any file exceptions; ensure loan approval, Terms & Conditions and Etran are consistent.
  • Perform primary functions of SBA Packager/Closer in their absence.

Education & Experience:


  • College degree in business, finance or related field of study preferred. Previous administrative experience; SBA specific preferred.
