    Area Safety Manager in Fort Worth, TX, Job 1703


    This is a FULL-TIME position as an employee of our Emergency Response client and REQUIRES commuting to the Fort Worth, TX area.

    This position CANNOT be worked from a remote setting; HOWEVER, relocation assistance within the US is available.

    What you will be doing:


    As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation, training and oversight of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs in your assigned area (approximately a 300 mile radius around DFW).

    You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OHS related matters.


    You will guide, coach, mentor and support area employees on how to protect themselves, each other and company assets in the most productive and efficient manner.


    Minimum Requirements:
    Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, employer sponsorship is not available.

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College / University in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Management or related discipline and Five (5) or more years of OHS experience in construction, heavy truck or rail transportation.

    (Additional years of experience can be substituted for the education requirement)
    Familiarity with safety issues involving heavy equipment.)


    Major Responsibilities:


    Partner with field operations leadership and general workforce and serve as SME regarding interpretation of federal, state and local OHS regulations.

    Oversee safety operations during accident and recovery operations.
    Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators.
    Lead/Participate in Continuous Improvement initiative regarding OHS policies and programs.
    Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local OHS regulations.
    Lead employee training programs regarding OHS behaviors and compliance.
