    Description
    A gas turbine company in San Diego is looking for a Senior Supplier Technical Engineer to join their team. This person will be joining the investment casting team supporting parts for the exterior of gas turbine engines.

    As a Supplier Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:


    Technical Accountability:

    Oversee purchased parts (including blades, veins, nozzles and more) from initial concept through the product life cycle, ensuring quality management.


    Supplier Collaboration:
    Understand and address complex technical issues with suppliers, proposing solutions.

    Process Expertise:
    Provide input on casting, brazing, and machining during supplier selection.

    Quality Improvement:
    Collaborate with Sourcing Specialists and Buyers to enhance supplier performance.

    Process Oversight:
    Lead PPAP and contribute to design and process FMEA.

    • Experience with Oracle/O365 based systems for tracking.
    • Experience with ISO 9000 internal and external audit compliance
    • Experience in the gas turbine, aerospace, or automotive industry working on machined/ casted parts
    • Masters Degree
    -5+ years of experience in manufacturing, specializing in supply chain quality at an enterprise level.


    • Experience in Supplier quality resolution using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
    • Excellent communication (written/verbal) & ability to work with cross functional teams
