- Compensation:
- Lead the annual compensation planning process.
- Manage base pay structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation.
- Oversee job evaluation and market pricing activities.
- Collaborate with Finance to control costs and report on incentive and benefit programs.
- Provide guidance to managers on pay decisions and policy interpretation.
- Design and implement reward and recognition initiatives to drive business outcomes.
- Benefits / Leave Administration:
- Develop a long-term benefits strategy in alignment with financial objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory filings and legal requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Total Rewards programs.
- HRIS / Performance Management:
- Implement and expand the use of HRIS tools like Workday.
- Create data-driven dashboards for informed decision-making.
- Explore automated solutions for HR processes.
- Leadership:
- Coach and mentor a team of HR professionals.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations effectively.
- Stay updated on market trends and recommend pricing strategy enhancements.
- 5-7 years of Total Rewards management experience.
- Expertise in compensation and benefit design.
- Strong knowledge of compensation theory and regulations.
- Experience with Executive Compensation plans.
- Ability to form trusted relationships with senior management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- HR Manager or Strategic HR Business Partner background is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Workday is a plus.
- Interact with VPs, Directors, and managers to address HR issues.
- Manage a team across various HR functions.
- Responsible for a significant budget.
- Sedentary role in an office setting.
- Regular use of hands and ability to lift light objects.

Key Objectives of the Role:
As the Senior Manager of Total Rewards, you will oversee various HR functions including compensation, benefits, HR information systems (HRIS), payroll, and leave administration. Working in collaboration with the Director of Talent and Organization Development, you will develop a comprehensive rewards strategy that is in line with Interstate Batteries' business goals, operational targets, and employee requirements. Your expertise in compensation and benefits program design will play a crucial role in attracting, motivating, and retaining a highly skilled workforce.
