- Monitor, assess, and improve in-process production, inspection, and assembly performance to ensure customer requirements are maintained, and process/business performance metrics meet goals.
- Lead, analyze, report and provide corrective action to integrate and ensure quality in operations, products, and culture to enhance long term viability of the organization.
- Continuously improve drawings, procedures, processes and methods to ensure process compliance and continual improvement which is measured by completion of improvement initiatives per plan and drawing review improvements identified.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline or combination of education and experience.
- Root Cause Analysis Expertise.
- AS9100 Auditor certified or ability to obtain certification preferred.
- Seven years' experience in operations quality engineering or quality assurance.
- Three years experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS).
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.
- Travel up to 20% of working time.
- Training certificates (CQE, CQA, CQT) are desirable.
- Experience in a complex metal manufacturing environment – aerospace environment preferable.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, enterprise resource planning, database, and specialized software.
- Ability and willingness to abide by set policies and/or safety programs established by BNI, our clients, and/or regulatory agencies which govern our performance and behavior in the normal course of our work while on BNI or the client's property or job site.

Position Summary:
The Senior Operations Quality Engineer provides support to the various functional departments including Manufacturing, Tech, Engineering, Procurement, and Program Management as needed to ensure product quality and continual improvement as well as addressing cost, competitiveness, and customer expectations.
The primary focus for this position is to support product quality through failure analysis, corrective actions, and continual improvement within operations.

Plan for improvement which considers personnel safety, product safety, product quality and compliance, and is measured by defect rates, cost of poor quality, countermeasure closure per plan, corrective and preventive action closure per plan.
b. Perform data generation and analysis, setup and present metrics to management based on MRR and Corrective Action evaluation.c. Determine and drive operations focused improvement effort based on data analysis.
d. Monitor inspection, production, and assembly to provide data to support countermeasures and corrective/preventive actions.
e. Review applicable test results to ensure results of the test are compliant with customer requirements.
f. Oversee implementation of countermeasures and corrective/preventive actions in support of operations process improvements.
g. Oversee the development and implementation of a process for authorship for internal manufacturing and assembly/test.
h. Support audits by providing objective quality evidence of compliance.
b. Brainstorm problem solution and work with cross-functional teams to evaluate expertise, capability, and process for implementation.
c. Implement corrective actions and necessary trainings.
d. Monitor effectiveness of actions implemented to ensure process compliance.
Identify areas for improvement in process and product relating to safety, quality, delivery and cost and elevate them to the management team.
b. Assist on continuous improvement teams to help drive company-wide improvements.c. Review company drawings and identify manufacturability, inspectability, and process improvements.
d. Develop, monitor, and update data required for the dashboard described below at frequency required for each metric.

The salary range for this role is $90,000. - $120,000.
This range represent the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate.
The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant's qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
