Desktop Support Tier 1 Technician TEKsystems is looking to add a desktop suppport technician to help a long time client with their IT operations. Below is some of the skills and requirements needed for you to be considered. Location: Austin, TX Responsibilities:

User Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Software Installation: Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and utilities.
Hardware Maintenance: Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and repairs.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and user interactions.
Remote Assistance: Assist remote users with technical problems.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in desktop support or a related field.
Technical Skills:Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and basic networking concepts.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications (optional but preferred):CompTIA A+ or similar.
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
