    Description


    The West Coast Sales Engineer plays a strategically important role in expanding our business by providing world class technical sales expertise to some of the world's largest and best known companies developing smart devices and phones, spatial audio, infotainment systems and more.

    This role requires strong technical / consultative sales experience, a good understanding of the sales process, especially in large companies, and a high-tech approach to sales (CRM, online demos, etc.).

    In this role, your success will depend on managing a large number of active accounts and prospects. Good organization, prioritization skills, and an enthusiasm for juggling multiple opportunities simultaneously are essential.

    In addition to managing our established large accounts, you will need to be comfortable creating your own business growth by identifying, calling and visiting prospects, as well as responding to inbound inquiries and marketing leads in a timely manner.

    Building long term relationships and credibility with a technical audience is critical to your success, and this requires technical aptitude, interest in audio, and a good sense for when to seek technical backup As you will be working remotely in the Bay Area, it's essential that you are focused, self-driven and resourceful, although there is full support from our Boston office.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Building relationships and managing growth at our established accounts on the West Coast. These range from some of the biggest brands in consumer audio to start-ups and small companies.
    Identifying, prospecting and selling to new accounts of all sizes in the territory.

    You will own the whole process from prospecting through follow up, technical demonstrations (both in person and online), quoting, and negotiating, to closing the deal.

    Timely follow up of sales leads provided by our marketing activities.

    Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in a technical subject

    3+ years in consultative selling high value technical / engineered products (for example lab or manufacturing equipment, software) to engineers, including management of the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close.

    Experienced user of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
    Reside in the Bay Area and willing to travel both locally and multi-day trips
    Strong organization and presentation skills
    Passion for audio and technology
