    The Senior Project Specialist will contribute to the success of Digital through the management of one or more, enterprise-wide projects and project resources.

    This role will ensure success of initiatives and roadmap planning for the Employee Tools & Experience team. This role is responsible for working cross-functionally across Digital; gathering project requirements and reaching agreement around timelines. This role will organize work in a consistent way, with ongoing improvements to team project management processes.


    Principal Duties:


    Oversight for Employee Tools & Experience teams project portfolio, which includes Microsoft 365 apps and services (formerly Microsoft Office) as well as other platforms.

    Develop project goals, objectives, approach, and scope through negotiation and diplomacy that result in a well-defined, well-sponsored project. Develop workplans and timelines to meet project goals. Maintain accurate project documentation in Adobe Workfront application, meeting Digital Project Management Office guidelines. Manage projects within the context of the larger environment including competing priorities, staffing levels, and budgetary concerns.

    Provide appropriate and timely problem escalation (including potential solutions where applicable) to both Digital management, project steering committees, and executive management.

    Provide on-going project status reports to Digital management, user groups, project steering committee and executive hospital management. Develop IT strategies and solutions that align with Digital standards and strategic directions.

    Plan, manage, and oversee projects, using recognized project management methods including:


    o Definition of project scope and objectiveso Management and status reporting toolso Feasibility and cost-benefit studieso Definition of requirements (functional and/or technical)o System testing/quality assuranceo Trainingo Implementationo Post-implementation/on-going supporto Project administrative activitieso Documentation Negotiate and acquire the enterprise-wide resources necessary to appropriately implement the project.

    Develop and support use of project management processes and workflows to manage team-based workgroups aligned by Microsoft 365 products. Develop capital and operating funding requirements associated with a project. Manage a project within its budget. Work independently but recognize when the involvement of senior management is required. Establish and create a positive project environment through leadership and mentoring. Provide on-going communication, feedback, and follow-through with customers and executive management. Use the Mass General Brigham values to govern decisions, actions, and behaviors.

    Other duties as assignedQualifications:
    Bachelors degree required. 8 or more years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.

Ability to facilitate and work within a complex, multi-site environment. Flexible, adaptable, and versatile.
