    Job Description

    NSF is looking to add an Analyst II FP&A to our growing finance team. You'll be responsible for collaborating with senior Finance leaders to lead the financial portion of portfolio framework process for the Health Sciences business unit.

    Responsibilities
    • Drives and supports the forecast, budget and business plan process within the global business unit or function(s)
    • Collaborate with the business / functions to establish common global KPI's
    • Support development of business case for any initiative driven by the global business unit or function.
    • Drive continuous improvement with the global business unit or function(s). Always looking for ways to improve the business. Sharing any ideas and wins with all divisional, regional, function FP&A teams.
    • Follows the consistent processes established within the finance function.
    • Interact and educate global business unit or function leaders on how to read and interpret management reports and gathers feedback on enhancements to management reporting.
    • Analyze the operational metrics to the monthly financial statement to properly interpret what is happening within the business.
    • Support discussion with the business or function leaders to tell the financial story from a variance to budget, forecast and prior year.
    • Supports ongoing education to global business unit or function leadership to increase business acumen.
    • Support month end close with variance analysis and journal entry preparation and collaborate with general ledger team to improve month end process.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
    • 2-4 Years of relevant experience
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform financial forecasting, reporting, analysis and operational metrics tracking.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in financial performance through analysis of results, forecasts, variances and trends.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in reconciling existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data.
    • Demonstrated understanding of technical accounting.
